Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actress, producer and director. She is most famous for her part as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded a Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her performance as Johnson and an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. The show ended on August 13th, 2012 following the conclusion of its seventh season. Sedgwick is also well-known for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick got an Golden Globe nomination for her role as Madeline Wuntch on Something to Talk About (1995). Her film credits include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are also among her many. Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), a speech teacher and educational/family therapy therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, the venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian and with English descent. Sedgwick has declared that she's Jewish and participates in Passover meal times.
