Lara Logan
Lara Logan was born 29 March 1971. She is a South African journalist, radio and television journalist. She worked as a CBS News journalist from 2002 until 2018.60 Minutes executive Producer Jeff Fager called her factually incorrect and politically biased report concerning the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack "the biggest mistake I've made in my 10-year-old's watch." She was a part of the Sinclair Broadcast Group in 2019, a conservative media company. The company was acquired by Fox Nation, a subscription streaming platform owned by Fox News, in January 2020. In March 2022, she announced that she had been "dumped" by the company. Logan worked during her studies as a reporter for the Sunday Tribune, Durban (1988-1989) as well as the Daily News (1990-1992). In 1992 she was hired by Reuters Television in Africa, mostly as an executive producer. After four years then, she switched to freelance journalism. Assignments included a reporter/editor/producer with ITN, Fox/SKY News in London, CBS News, ABC News in London, NBC, NBC and European Broadcasting Union. CNN employed her to report on events such as the 1998 United States Embassy bombings in Nairobi, Tanzania and the conflict in Northern Ireland.
